Thursday 12th May Opening Party and Creative Disruptors Awards: join fellow creative event professionals from around the globe to celebrate the start of the Accelerate conference, powered by the International Live Events Association. It promises to be a party to remember, with entertainment, food, drink and off-course the inaugural Creative Disruptors Awards happening at the world famous Ministry of Sound. Opening Party and Awards tickets are available here. Dress code: smart casual.
Friday 13th May Conference: the education and networking conference entitled ‘Disruption Fuels Creativity’ returns to the Emirates Stadium, home of Arsenal Football Club. The conference will be opened by Professor Joe Goldblatt EdD, FRSA from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. He was the founding President of the International Special Events Society 28 years ago. Professor Goldblatt holds the only professorial chair in Events Management in the world. His insights, 35 books and research into events are world renowned. Saturday 14th May Essential London Venue Tour: join fellow conference delegates and other event professionals for a walking tour (1.5 miles) of some of London’s finest and most sought after event venues. The walking tour starts at 8.30am at Westminster Central Hall with a light breakfast and a site visit, followed by site visits to Banqueting House, The In and Out Naval and Military Club and the Royal Academy of Arts. This is followed by a light lunch at Smith & Wollensky (near The Strand) until 2pm. Tickets for this event are limited so please register your interest as soon as possible. Venue Tour tickets are available here. Dress code: walking shoes and appropriate dress for the weather of the day.
